From the beginning to the end of my time with Golden State Orthopedics & Spine it was all very positive with a great outcome. In 2007 I had my left hip replaced due to a birth defect and that was done in a location outside of the East Bay. That replacement is still doing fine except that the procedure left that leg length about a 1/2in. to 3/4in. longer than the right leg. I was told by several Doctors outside Golden State Orthopedics that nothing could be done to correct the length difference even when replacing the right hip that was bone on bone and needed replacing. I was recommended to Dr. Louay Toma by my neighbor who enjoyed good results. Upon my first visit I was assured by Dr. Toma that he would be able to replace my hip and lengthen my leg to match perfectly with the length of my other leg. He explained that he was using a company called Kinomatic and through images, measurements and pictures they would supply a replacement hip that would match the length of my other leg perfectly. And yes they did exactly that!! Dr. Toma knew exactly the surgery procedure thru the videos he was sent and it came out perfectly. The pain is totally gone, the length perfect and I am able to live an active life again. I’m able to walk up to 5 or 6 miles at a time, play golf and walk the course if I choose, ride a bike, work out at the gym, go fishing and climb stairs. The staff at physical therapy were great and kept me on task. I know my results are good because of the therapy I received. I would highly recommend Dr. Toma and the Kinomatic system.
