Get to Know Dr. Wong

“I am most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my patients, treating them as if they were my own family. I strive to be a surgeon who is not only technically skilled but also compassionate and trustworthy.”

Dr. Wong knew early on she wanted to be a surgeon and work with her hands. For her, seeing the drastic improvement in her patients’ quality of life is one of the most rewarding aspects of the job. In working with patients she puts a high priority on honest communication and building a positive relationship with them.

Dr. Wong is fellowship-trained in hip and knee replacement and revision surgeries at Stanford University Medical Center. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive joint replacement, including the muscle-sparing anterior approach hip surgery, robotic surgery, and has led a rapid recovery joint replacement program for her group.

She values honest communication and building a trusting relationship with her patients.

She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese, and is working towards a fluency in medical Spanish.

Dr. Wong grew up in the East Bay and enjoys taking full advantage of all that the area has to offer with her husband and four children. In her spare time she relishes running, hiking, yoga, baking and wine tasting.

Dr. Wendy Wong is a highlighted physician in Becker’s Ambulatory Surgery Care Review.
