Get to Know Dr. Clark

“I have your utmost care in the forefront of my decision making. The most important thing to me is that you get the best care possible to get back to your job and activities.”

Dr. Clark is excited to serve the practice where his medical journey began. As a Junior playing football at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, he suffered a broken leg during summer practice which sidelined him for the majority of the season. The high level of care he received from Muir Orthopaedic Specialists with both their professional staff and physical therapy team led him to pursue a career as an orthopaedic surgeon.

Dr. Clark’s education has included time training with and serving communities all over the country with various programs. He was fortunate to train as an orthopedic resident at the Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. This particular program is well known for its extensive experience in orthopaedic trauma at University Medical Center (formerly known as Charity Hospital). The Tulane orthopedic residency is also highly regarded for its strong sports medicine experience where Dr. Clark served as the team physician for Edna Karr High School, a member of the medical team for the Tulane University Division I Football and Men’s Basketball teams, a member of the medical team for Loyola University Division III Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and a part of the official medical team for the NCAA Sugar Bowl hosted at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA.

Subsequent to his tenure at Tulane School of Medicine, Dr. Clark trained at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan, New York. This world-famous hospital has been the #1 Orthopaedic Hospital for the last 10 years in U.S. News and World Report rankings. Here Dr. Clark completed his fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery where he had exposure to a wide array of hand maladies including trauma, microsurgery, brachial plexus, oncology, pediatric surgery, arthroscopic surgery of the wrist and elbow, and all other routine hand problems. Throughout his tenure in the medical field he has also contributed to the specialty via several medical book chapters on the elbow joint.

In Dr. Clark’s spare time, he continues to enjoy covering local high school athletic programs, as well as all the activities and outdoor opportunities Northern California has to offer. Most of all, he is excited to have come full circle and now work side by side with his former treatment providers and mentors.
