Zac Claunch, PA-C

Zac Claunch is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Kevin Murray, Dr. Jeffrey Kanel and Dr. Kenneth Mensch in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery for adults and children.  

Zac had worked with Dr. Murray previously as a medical assistant right out of college, getting his clinical hours before leaving to complete his master’s in physician assistant studies at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

“I am very excited to be returning to GSOS as a PA,” Zac says. He will be assisting the three doctors in the operating room, in addition to performing patient exams and administering injections.

Zac knew he wanted to go into the medical field as a freshman in college, completely intrigued and fascinated with Anatomy and Physiology classes. He decided to become a PA because it gave him the ability to be an integral part of a team caring for patients. “I think that as a physician assistant it is extremely important to be an advocate for my patients and truly listen and provide the best care from diagnosis through to recovery,” he says.

Zac grew up playing hockey and soccer, and snowboarding and wakeboarding.  Now, when not seeing patients, Zac is still passionate about outdoor activities including golf, hiking and going to the beach.
