Nicholas Benson, PA-C

Nico Benson is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Bader, caring for patients with acute and chronic conditions of the hip, shoulder, and knee. He is dedicated to helping patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their treatment plans. He evaluates patients, orders and interprets diagnostic studies, performs joint injections, and assists in surgery.

Nico’s interest in orthopedics and sports medicine began through his own experiences as a competitive volleyball player in high school and college. After navigating knee injuries himself, he developed a deep appreciation for the recovery process and the importance of helping patients return to the activities they love. He worked as a physical therapy aide throughout college and prior to PA school, where he discovered how meaningful it is to support patients through both injury and the recovery process.

He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Samuel Merritt University in 2025 and completed his Bachelor of Science degree at San Francisco State University.

He grew up in the foothills of Grass Valley, CA, but has lived in the Bay Area for the past seven years. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, trying new food spots, playing volleyball, running, going to the gym, and crabbing at Baker Beach.
