Get to Know Dr. Chang

“I believe that treating the patient, not just the condition, produces the best results and that interventional pain management is a partnership endeavor. I work with my patients to improve their quality of life.”

Dr. Chang is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, fellowship-trained in interventional pain management. Dr. Chang’s extensive clinical experience makes him one of the premier physiatrists in the area.

With experience in minimally invasive techniques, he can treat many patients, including those with pain due to osteoporotic or pathologic compression fractures, recommending kyphoplasty, along with other therapies, as an effective way to eliminate or reduce pain.

Dr. Chang also performs spinal cord stimulation, a newer and innovative procedure that uses an electrical current to treat chronic pain, may also be an option for those patients who have tried and failed with other interventional pain management treatments.

Pain and physical limitations can impact patients’ everyday lives in monumental ways. Dr. Chang became a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor so that he could help people overcome limitations caused by injury and illness. He focused his training on reducing pain and minimally invasive surgeries that would help patients regain function.

In his personal life, Dr. Chang enjoys finding hidden-gem “dive” restaurants. His vacations are often spent looking for new and exciting places to eat.
