Workers' Compensation

We Are Northern California
Workers’ Compensation Doctors
At Golden State Orthopedics & Spine, our doctors and staff are dedicated to the treatment of the injured worker. We take a team approach in ensuring that each worker gets the care they need and deserve. We work closely with patients, employers, case managers, adjusters, and insurance companies to provide complete care so that workers may return as safely and swiftly as possible.
Whether immediate treatment, a second opinion, or an independent medical examination is needed, Golden State Orthopedics & Spine has the most comprehensive array of general and specialty orthopedic services, including:
- Digital X-Ray: Our diagnostic X-ray system presents a clear, detailed image to our doctors, giving them highly accurate information for diagnosis and treatment.
- Ultrasound: Our specialists provide ultrasound imaging, a nonoperative technique that aids in diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis and tendon tears.
- MRI: Our MRI scanners are designed to visualize soft-tissue areas such as muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Workers’ Compensation for Patients
In California, most employers are required by law to carry workers’ compensation insurance. If you were injured at work, suffered an injury as a result of work-related activities, or have become ill because of work, there is a good chance that you are eligible for workers’ compensation benefits. These benefits should cover your lost income, medical costs, and other expenses. For more detailed information about reporting a work-related injury and filing a claim, please visit the Department of Industrial Relations Workers’ Comp page.
In order to receive fair and accurate benefits from workers’ compensation, you will need appropriate medical documentation.
For Golden State Orthopedics & Spine to bill for a work-related injury, we must have an authorization from your workers’ compensation carrier prior to receiving treatment. Should a work-related injury be identified after treatment has begun, it will not be possible to bill your workers’ compensation carrier for costs already incurred.

Workers’ Compensation for Employers
For employers, case managers, and claims adjusters, we strive to ensure an efficient and trouble-free process in scheduling appointments, answering questions, and providing assistance wherever needed.
Our workers’ compensation department understands the challenges of workers’ compensation cases and provides coordinated support to manage claims, documentation, and communication between all parties involved. While our doctors treat the physical needs of the patient, our workers’ compensation staff facilitates appointments, work status, and doctor communication.
We look forward to meeting your needs and those of your injured workers by providing exceptional care, timely reporting, and appropriate early return to work.
