Dr. Sethuraman is a Bay Area native who grew up in Palo Alto. After graduating from Yale University with a degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, she attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati and completed Orthopaedic Surgery residency at New York Medical College in Westchester County, New York. Dr. Sethuraman went on to complete a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the University of Rochester Medical Center in upstate New York, where she was trained in the management of upper and lower extremity bone, joint, muscle, and tendon conditions using minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques. She is a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and for the NCAA Division I Santa Clara University Broncos. She also works with the MLB San Francisco Giants and the MLS San Jose Earthquakes. She has served as assistant team physician for the MiLB Rochester Redwings, Marist College, St. John Fisher University, and Nazareth University.
Dr. Sethuraman’s special interests include intra-articular hip disorders, knee realignment procedures, and pediatric sports injuries. She is particularly excited to be back in the Bay Area and help athletes of all levels who want to achieve their potential and get back in the game after injury. She uses both surgical and non-surgical approaches to help patients restore their quality of life.
When not seeing patients, she enjoys attending concerts and spending time outdoors.
