About Dr Calafi

Dr. Calafi is a board certified Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon. He received his undergraduate studies degree from the University of California, Irvine and his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of California, Davis followed by an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. In addition, he was an international trauma fellow at the Hannover Medical School in Germany.

He is fluent in English, Farsi and German. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and engaging in outdoor activities.

Dr. Calafi is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic trauma association. He has authored numerous scientific articles in the field of orthopedic trauma. Prior to joining Golden State Orthopedics & Spine, Dr. Calafi was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Traumatology at Saint Louis University.
