Before Surgery
Most of your preoperative experience will be the same as for anyone undergoing total knee replacement, but an OMNIBotics robotically-assisted surgery uses Bone-Morphing™ technology to create a 3-dimensional model of your knee’s anatomy and BalanceBot™ technology helps measure, balance and preserve your soft tissues. Your surgeon will use this information to plan your knee replacement surgery.

During Surgery
Your specially trained surgeon will use the OMNIBot™ cutting guide to remove only the damaged bone tissue and make the placement of your implants as accurate as possible. After the arthritic tissues have been removed, the BalanceBot™ is used again to measure your soft tissue balance to determine the surgical plan has been followed, and gather data on projected joint performance.

After Surgery
You may be allowed to return home the same day you have your surgery depending on your surgeon’s evaluation. Your unique needs will help determine your recovery plan and affect the duration of your recovery. Your surgeon will advise you on physical therapy and when it’s safe to return to driving and other activities.
