Kathryn Sanfilippo, PA-C

Kathryn Sanfilippo is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Kenneth Mensch and Dr. Kevin Murray, caring for patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions. She evaluates patients, assists with diagnostic and treatment planning, provides patient education, performs joint injections, and assists in surgery.

Kathryn brings an extensive background in athletic training, rehabilitation, and performance coaching to her role. Before becoming a physician assistant, she worked with collegiate athletes, military personnel, physical therapy patients, and orthopedic care teams. These experiences gave her a strong understanding of injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and the process of returning patients to activity.

Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and athletic training from San Diego State University. She went on to complete her Master of Science degree in kinesiology and exercise science at Auburn University and then her Master of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies at Yale University.

In her approach to care, Kathryn values patient education and shared decision-making. She works closely with patients and the care team to ensure each person understands their condition, treatment options, and path toward recovery.
