Orthobiologics are biological substances found naturally in the body that are used by Doctors and Surgeons to help heal injuries. The types of Doctors and Surgeons who use orthobiologics may be Primary Care Sports Medicine Physicians, Doctors of Osteopathy, Physical Medicine Specialists, Physiatrists, Pain Management Specialists and Orthopedic Surgeons. Substances of the human body that can be used to create orthobiologics include blood platelets, bone marrow, and human fat (adipose tissue).
