WHAT IS ORTHOPEDICS?

ORTHOPEDIC DOCTORS TREAT BONES, JOINTS, LIGAMENTS, TENDONS, MUSCLES AND MORE

While Dr Sethuraman treats sporting injuries to the physical body such as torn ligaments, broken bones, contusions (such as when you hit your thumb with a hammer) and over-use injuries, the team that he works with at Golden State Orthopedics & Spine are not all sports medicine specialists and treat many different ages of patients and conditions.

As Presentation’s orthopedic doctors, when treating families, we commonly treat:

Knee pain caused by joint wear and tear, arthritis or meniscus tears
Hip pain leading to joint degeneration
Twisted ankles, plantar fasciitis and heel pain
Back pain and injuries from over-heavy lifting or extended sitting
Twists, tears, sprains and strains of joints commonly caused by an accident at home or just overdoing it
Shoulder injuries from falls, lifting, and reaching
Wrist, hand, elbow and thumb pain from keyboard use and typing
Old injuries that never really healed properly

Our fun little video explains this term for those new to this medical specialty:
