ABOUT

Paige Johnson

Paige Johnson is a physician assistant at Golden State Orthopedics & Spine, where she supports Dr. Eric Stuffmann in the comprehensive care of patients with shoulder, hand, and elbow conditions. Her role spans clinical and surgical responsibilities, including pre- and post-operative evaluations and treatment as well as assisting in the operating room.

With a background in orthopedic and interventional spine care, Paige brings a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions by leveraging the latest operative and non-operative therapies designed to optimize recovery and restore function.

Paige’s philosophy of care centers on collaborative patient education. She strives to ensure each patient fully understands their diagnosis and treatment options, thereby feeling empowered throughout their journey to recovery. She strongly believes successful outcomes are achieved through clear communication, compassionate care, and a strong provider-patient relationship.

Before joining GSOS, Paige honed her clinical skills in high-volume orthopedic and pain management clinics and rotated through trauma surgery and emergency medicine at Level I trauma centers. She earned her master’s in physician assistant studies from Rocky Vista University, where she also served as the Student Representative for the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants. She is now a proud member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants and separately holds a Professional Science master’s in biomedical sciences, during which she contributed to multiple clinical research publications.

Originally from Colorado, Paige now lives in the Bay Area with her husband, a Stanford Dermatology resident, and their two beloved cats. A former collegiate softball player, she continues to stay active and values teamwork both in and out of the OR. When not practicing medicine, she has a predilection to explore new foodie and coffee spots, and winds down by reading her Kindle, watching sci-fi shows, or even indulging her husband in a co-op video game or two.
