Dr. Wong is an excellent surgeon! I've done my right tka with her. I'm getting ready to do a right hip and left tka. I feel completely confident in her surgical skills and expertise!♥️

Dr. Wong did a partial right knee replacement and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I never had any pain or discomfort. The only thing I took was Tylenol and I don’t think I even needed that, I was just being cautious. I could walk over a mole within a week of my surgery.

Dr Wong has replaced both a hip and knee on me. First she’s an excellent orthopedic surgeon. She may be small in size but she is one very mighty surgeon. All my office visits for various other things plus my surgeries have been informative and she takes the time to answer your questions and set you at ease. She gets an A+ in my book as a surgeon and a person.

Dr. Wendy Wong is an incredible doctor! She did a full hip replacement and also a total knee replacement. Naturally there is pain involved with these surgeries. However, I feel that she did a great job and they healed very well and quickly. I highly recommend her as a caring and good surgeon!

Hi everyone I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Elrashidy during the pandemic for issues with my knee. As uncomfortable and unpleasant as pain can be my visit to Golden State Ortho turned out to be a very great positive and hopeful experience. Thankfully before referral to the surgeon Dr. Wendy Wong, we discussed alternative solutions to surgery. So I was offered and received injections to my knee. Dr. Wong came in the room she said "your knee is bone to bone. With out asking me or knowing how much pain I am in or any thing about my situation she went right to my weight I still need to loose. And that was that Every person should be elevated on what's their situation. For 5 years I have been dealing with my knee, about 2 years ago my knee would give me pain and it started me falling, I took some awful falls which made the pain more constant. About 9 months ago I started using a.walker. nothing is helping the pain. Not just my right knee is bone to bone both my knees are my right knee is gives me extreme anxiety and extreme pain when I sit down, when I stand up, when I sit in a chair, when I lay down. I have to use the walker all the time and it hurts to walk depression has taken over. My quality of life is gone Dr Buckley referred me he knew how hard I been trying to loose weight and I lost 30 pounds he said he knows I need a total knee replacement he even scheduled me for a pre-op the next week with Dr.Thomas . Dr.Buckley said Dr.wong might question the fact I still have weight to loose but it should be ok. I am still going to continue to loose weight. I do not talk to my friends or leave my . house . The pain comsums everything. My MRI shows damaged besides the bone on bone. Not only knee pain I deal with my whole leg aches.. Depression makes you want to eat so I battle that I might have to give my dog away because it hurts me to out side. And I move so slowly I do not always make to the bathroom in time and getting in and out of shower is almost unbearable I fell getting out of the shower it all in God's and Dr Wong hands

I have bone on bone in my knee, and one of the consideration is to get a knee surgery, and she gave me a consult and made me feel very at ease . She also informed me what I would Endure when I have my knee surgery and how long of a recovery and what to expect.

I'll have to admit, that my first appointment with Dr Wong didn't go so well. She told me I could not get surgery unless I lost weight. I left pretty upset. But I did not give up and lost the weight. Dr Wong has integrity and is serious about her work. She has excellent credentials and a lot of experience in this field. She has a very cheery disposition which is helpful when dealing with a total knee replacement. I will do another review after I've completed my surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr Wendy Wong and Golden State orthopedics there very professional and kind.

Dr. Wong is thorough and precise! She’ll tell you when the diagnoses is straight forward and when it requires further diagnostics. My wife was seen today for her hip and I was allowed to accompany her. Dr. Wong is pleasant with a good bedside manner. She answered all questions and her staff is 1st rate as well! Dr. Wendy Wong did a knee (right knee) replacement surgery for my wife, aged 87, at the end of June 2023. The surgery was successful. Before surgery, my wife walks with very much pain and cannot do stairs, and her right knee is crooked. After two months she can walk pain free. To-date (October 2023), she is doing her routine 3 miles morning walks and can do stairs again. And her right knee is now straight. It was also amazing that during the whole recovery, healing and physical therapy process, my wife did not need nor use pain medication stronger than Tylenol and occasionally Celebrex. Had full knee replacement done by Dr. Wong in April 2023. The experience with Dr. Wong and her associates was excellent, they have a great setup at Sequoia Surgical. I asked for the "sport model" and I think I got it, I've been riding my mountain bike on it really hard on rugged,rocky downhills and jumps a.nd no problems, no pain. I am going to try skiing next and then have her replace my other one.

I cannot recommend Dr Wong highly enough. I have just had my one year anniversary xray of my hip replacement and, as I expected, it showed my new hip to be perfect. Not only did she fix my hip but, because she adjusted the alignment of my pelvis, my knees no longer hurt either. I am also happy to report that I had so little post-operative pain that I had no need of the prescribed opioids. Not only is Dr Wong a premiere surgeon but she couples this with a warm and patient personal approach, ensuring that she carefully explains the upcoming procedure and addressing any concerns you may have. Dr Wendy Wong is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. You can tell from her enthusiastic demeanor that she loves her profession and helping people regain their quality of life. If you are considering orthopedic surgery and read the personal online stories that abound, you of course see the gamut from highly successful to extremely unsuccessful surgeries. So I was wary about the surgery, but knew I had to do it. I had no cartilage left in my knee and walking/standing was very painful. I met and immediately trusted Dr. Wong and received a total knee replacement. My physical therapists were amazed at my swift recovery. Superb doctor for total hip replacement. Absolutely a pleasure to work with and made process so easy. Walking in the same day with minimal pain and within a week was not even using any walking assistance! Hip pain gone! All my visits with Dr. Wong have been great. She is very motivated to get you better and back to living life. She is funny, inviting, larger than life, and she will push you on getting better and getting stronger and flexible, which is what most of need. I would highly recommend her for knee replacement surgery or any other type of Orthopedic surgery. My experience with my knee replacement has been great, better than I could have hoped for. After having bone on bone arthritis issues for over 10 years, it was time tfor the replacement and I am extremely happy with my results after only nine weeks. I can ride a bike and I already played 2 full rounds of golf, with minimal post play swelling. She is the best as far as I am concerned.

She did a great job on my hip. Very small scar, much smaller than others I've seen. I was 1000% better 3 weeks later. If you are having pain, get it done. Its quick and easy.

As a former gymnast with aching hips, I needed to seek help after a lot of hiking last summer. I searched for a surgeon in the Bay area and found Dr. Wendy Wong. From the first consultation Dr. Wong took her time with me to listen to my concerns for flexibility after surgery. She was honest and thorough in her assessment of my hips, length of time for total recovery and her best estimation for my flexibility after surgery. I also learned hip replacements is Dr. Wong’s favorite procedure to perform and the easiest joint replacement to recover from. The entire process from scheduling the surgery date, pre-exercises, selecting a coach, the joint coordinator and nurses, and multiple texts to provide recovery status to the doctor were very helpful and seamless. Dr. Wong is also very careful to make the smallest incision. Nothing short of a miracle she removed and replaced my hip leaving a short 3” scar. The biggest miracle for me was my coach who helped me throughout the recovery. Having a coach or someone committed to assist you after surgery is recommended by Golden State Orthopedic & Spine and crucial to a successful recovery. Because I was able to rest and heal, I didn’t need to take any pain medication after surgery other than Tylenol as directed. My physical therapy was scheduled within a week and lasted for 12 weeks. Overall, my experience with Dr. Wong and the entire staff at GSOS was impeccable. They have set the bar for me, and I will definitely be back for the next hip, or knee!

Dr. Wong and her team are amazing! I had my left knee arthritis surgery with her and in less than a year I got back to my normal life. I was able to return home couple of hours after surgery and I didn’t experience painful surgery. I am posting this for my husband, Walt who had surgery, Bi-lateral knee replacement 10 years ago. One of the knees failed, and he needed to have another knee replacement done which Dr Wong did 1st part of June 2022. His experience has been great. He is recovering very well and never needed to take any narcotics such as Oxycodone post surgery. He has only taken mild pain killers. Dr Wong has been with him every step of this journey and has been very pleased with his progress. We recommend her highly.

Dr Wong did an anterior hip replacement. Two days after surgery was using only Tylenol for pain except for physical therapy days when I would take a pain pill. After two weeks I was walking without a walker and no cane. I can’t believe how pain free life is now. Wish I hadn’t waited so long. Dr Wong really is the best.

How do I begin to tell you about my experience with Dr Wong. Let’s start with this. If I could give her 10 stars I would. After being told I was just too heavy to have knee revision surgery, I walked in with a feeling of “ oh here we go again”. She is going to say the same thing but she took the time to explain why I needed to lose weight. Sometimes all we need is an explanation because to me I was ok as a plus size woman. I left feeling that I could do it but it was going to take time. Each month I would go back weighing less until I got to 3 pounds from my goal . Dr Wendy Wong and her team are amazing. I recently had a anterior hip replacement. I went home the same day with a walker with minimal pain. The day after surgery I was no longer taking narcotics. I was able to start using a cane within a few days and now I can walk without a cane. The joint navigation team was awesome and I felt totally prepared for the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong, she is a very caring physician, answered all of my questions and I trusted her. If you want a narcotic free experience, I would recommend Dr. Wong for any procedure .

Dr. Wong is very caring and takes the time to listen to you. She hears your concerns and remembers for the next time she sees you. She is a little dynamo who is very positive and encouraging. I have had other doctors who have not been so kind or have shown concern like she does. She also understands the struggle of PTSD and is very considerate and thoughtful. I would not hesitate to have Dr Wendy Wong do a total hip replacement on my other hip joint in the future if needed.As soon as I woke up from surgery, the nurse allowed me to get up and walk unassisted at the hospital. I was able to walk unassisted (no walker or cane) after 2/3 days of surgery and physical therapy was started a week after surgery. As for pain medications (Oxycodone) I was able to stop taking it after second day at home. It has been 9 weeks post and recovery has gone smoothly. The incision has healed nicely. The only challenge at this juncture of recovery is the numbness on the side of hip running down to just above the knee. The nerve numbness should be reduced tremendously at the 6 months to a year according to my research on the web. I noticed that the nerve pain did start to diminish after post 5/6 weeks. Dr Wendy Wong did an excellent surgery of my hip without complications. At post op 2 months I am able to walk 2 miles daily and now at post op 3 months I'm walking between 2 and 3 miles daily. Thanks to Dr. Wendy Wong!

Dr. Wendy Wong is not only professional, but personable. You always feel she has your best interests at heart. I have total confidence in her to perform my surgery. She has always taken the time to answer any questions I’ve had three previous knee surgeries over the last 15 years, done by three different surgeons. When my current surgeon, Dr. Wendy Wong, said I had run out of options and joint replacement was my only choice, I came within a hair of backing out. Every story I heard talked about excruciating pain, with even strong narcotics only bringing the pain to a level 8. Who wants that? With great trepidation, I went ahead and had Dr. Wong perform the surgery, knowing her hyaluronic injections were injected with a skill no other doctor had reached. It’s now been four weeks past the surgery, and I have controlled the typical pain (which is between a 1 and 2) with Tylenol and Celebrex (I have an allergy to NSAIDS such as aspirin and Ibuprofen) and ice and ice and ice. No narcotics were needed. The one occasion the pain got to a 4, I controlled it by icing. I am so glad I went ahead with the surgery with Dr. Wong. She has a “Midas touch.” The pain has not been nearly as bad as the horror stories led me to believe. I never considered taking a narcotic. I am recovering faster than expected and will soon be back doing what I want pain free without a narcotic addiction.

Dr. Wong and her staff are excellent. The entire staff communicates extremely well as to what will take place with your care; all the way from pre-op through post-op so you will have no surprises. They even offer pre-op classes (via Zoom) that provide you even more information and knowledge about your specific procedure. Dr. Wong is very knowledgeable, she always maintains a positive attitude and is very skilled at what she does.

Dr. Wong is knowledgeable, personable, professional, and she makes it easy to have honest discussions about your plan of care. In my case, the surgical results were outstanding. I’m very grateful.

I had my much needed (it was bone on bone) hip surgery on 2/19/21. I only needed the walker for TWO days and was walking normally after only one week. No pain killers were ever needed at home although I had two narcotics available to me. Not even Tylenol! It is now three weeks out and I am only carrying a cane because I was told to do it for a while. I feel fantastic and can't thank Dr. Wong enough for her skill and expertise.

Dr. Wendy Wong is awesome.. My diagnosis was very clear and to the point. I needed 2 Hip Replacements.. I'm a middle aged active female with avg body weight. I had endured years of arthritic pain until I basically couldn't walk on my own. I couldn't sleep, walk or function properly. The pain took over my life. Dr. Wong performed my first procedure at Sequoia Surgery Center in Walnut Creek. A new top notch facility with skilled, knowledgeable and professional personnel who executed everything perfectly. My recovery was incredible, just as I was told and expected. 5 months later, I had my second procedure which went exactly the same. Dr Wendy Wong replaced my right hip and did a fantastic job. Pain level after surgery was negligible. I was driving after 3 weeks and playing 9 holes of golf after 8 weeks. Would highly recommend her. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being great she rates a 12

I had my knee replaced in June. I am now walking pain free and without a cane. I am in total agreement with other 5 star Yelp reviews re Dr. Wong. In addition I am thankful for Dr. Wong's pre-op & post-op teams. They were there to answer questions. They went over current prescriptions and provided me with a to-do list to prepare for the operation. Post-op meds were ordered and thoroughly reviewed before the operation. Post-op team was there to answer questions and contacted me almost daily. For pain I was able to get by with just Tylenol. An important reason I recovered so quickly is the therapists at Muir Orthopedics Specialists are exceptional.

I had a full knee replacement 2 years ago and partial knee replacement surgery recently by Dr Wendy Wong. Dr Wong is a wonderful surgeon and an expert. Both surgeries went great. I am so happy with my new knees! The partial knee replacement recovery was super speedy compared to my full knee replacement. The surgery center at Muir Orthopedics is well run and staffed with compassionate experts. 5 stars!

After my experience with hip surgery I feel extremely comfortable in recommending Dr. Wong.  I found her to be very personable, competent, and easy to talk with.  She listened well and clearly explained my options and the path she proposed to take. Originally it was thought that my problem was all caused by a pinched nerve.  After a cortisone shot relieved my lower back pain but not the leg pain my spinal surgeon referred me to Dr. Wong.   After some diagnostic procedures she recommended a hip replacement. By that time the pains had grown worse the full length of my leg, but she assured me that the hip replacement would take care of it all.  She was right.   Dr Wong and her surgery team exhibited a very positive and energetic attitude at the surgery.  I felt I was in good hands and the results have confirmed it.  The same day I was able to walk around the hospital with the aid of a walker and since then things have quickly improved without any problems. Five weeks later I can comfortably walk around town on errands for an hour or more.  Before the operation I was lucky if I could get a quarter mile.

My grandma recently went to Dr. Wong to do knee surgery on two separate occasions. I just want to say that the whole process was very easy and comfortable, and Dr. Wong was very kind...My grandma was able to walk without assistance after 10 days. Thank you Dr. Wong!

I'd heard so many great things about Dr. Wong from my gym class participants. When it came time for my husband to have hip replacement surgery I was so happy he was assigned Dr. Wong. She did a FANTASTIC job. Surgery was on May 1, 2020. He was immediately relieved of the hip pain, and only had to deal with normal recovery discomfort. Dr. Wong spoke with me before, and immediately after surgery. She made me feel part of the team, and I so appreciated that. Her team checked in with me post-surgery, and after he came home. They kept him safe during this crazy COVID-19 epidemic. I hope he never has to have another operation. But, if he does, Dr. Wong will be on speed-dial!

Thanks to Dr. Wong’s gift as an orthopedic surgeon my knee replacement went very well and I recovered quickly. She is a happy person who is interested in getting to know her patients and exploring all options before doing surgery. Dr. Wong had me well prepared for my surgery with exercises to do before and sent me all the necessary information so I would know what to expect. If I ever need the second knee replaced, I sure know where to go!!

My 85-year-old mother was in a lot of pain and needed knee replacement surgery. Her physician sends a referral to Muir Ortho and saw dr. Wendy Wong. During my first visit I gained a lot of confidence in her. She impressed me the way she talked to us. She is very professional, explained entire procedure and answer all the questions. I felt safe with her and was sure that I wanted her to do the surgery. The operation was very successful. After we left the hospital, we didn't have to worry about anything: dr. Wong and her assistant Kevin took care everything. They scheduled follow-up appointments, physical therapy and explained how to take medication. Two weeks after the surgery my mother step outside (without my knowledge) and did not noticed the step. She fell in front of the house. I was able to make appointment and dr. Wong saw us few minutes later. Thanks God we did not need another surgery. When coronavirus spread in Bay Area and we were not able to go to physical therapy Dr. Wong and her staff send us a pdf file with set of exercises at home. So, we exercise every day at home. Month and a half latter my mom can bend her knee, taking strolls in the garden and enjoy her life again and she hardly take any pain medication. I feel like for Dr. Wong working in hospital is not just a profession but is a vocation

Dr. Wong performed a hip replacement in Nov 2019.  She was wonderful throughout the process, and her team was equally professional and supportive.  I am extremely pleased with the outcome.  I have been able to return to all of my activities.  I would highly recommend her.

I had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Wong on November 1st 2019. I had a very pleasant experience with her at all of my appointments prior to surgery, she was polite and answered all of my questions. Dr. Wong does the Anterior approach which is through the front of your leg which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I had my other hip done in December of 2017 and a different surgeon did the posterior approach which is through the side of your leg and I must say the ANTERIOR approach is 100% better in terms of recovery, pain, mobility, etc. I was able to walk (with my walker) with minimal help in and out of bed right after surgery. I wish she did my first surgery!! But since then I haven't had any issues, my scar is super small which I appreciate because the posterior approach left me with a 9 inch scar down my hip :/ the scar from the anterior approach is about 4-5 inches and less noticeable. If I ever had to get another hip replacement I would DEFINITELY go back to Dr. Wong!! 10/10 :)

I found Dr. Wendy Wong to be a most confident and excellent surgeon she spent extra time studying my particular situation and x-rays in order to plan a highly successful treatment she did a revision on my left knee that had been operated on three times previously and all failed she cured the problem putting a new Knee in and it’s working perfectly. Mine was a particularly difficult case based upon the history of my name she’s the only one who would tackle it and said she could do it she delivered the New knee and it is great shape. I have no pain! After only 3 weeks post surgery. I’m forever grateful

I did need to have another procedure to loosen up scar tissue - which I have a history of. It has been a year since the operation and I am walking better than I have in many years. I am even able to jog a little to catch a bus or cross a light. I have not been able to do this for years. Dr. Wong is very personable, positive and high energy. I can highly recommend her as her surgery has helped me greatly.

I think Dr Wong is the best Orthopaedic surgeon I've ever had and I've had many. I've had two back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced. Dr Wong did my last hip surgery. Some people find her abrupt and rude. I found her caring and compassionate while being very efficient and very clear about her schedule and availability. She has a family to take care of and melds her profession and personal lives to her advantage, which she should. I recently went for a follow up visit and found her unhurried and professional and very pleasant. She gets 5 stars from this patient!

In March 2018 I used my left leg to brace myself when keeping a moving shopping cart from hitting a car that backed out of a parking spot without looking as I was walking to my car.  I felt a "pop" in my left hip and thought that I might have suffered a slight dislocation.  A trip to the chiropractor helped a bit, but the muscle pain in the thigh and groin began to increase, so I was eventually sent for an x-ray, which showed some moderate arthritis had developed.  A few months later, after nearly intolerable pain, an MRI revealed that it had developed to full bone-on-bone arthritis and it was suggested that I consult with an orthopaedic surgeon. Of course, that meant going to the insurance company website and seeing which were local and in my plan, and in my search I saw a profile for Dr. Wendy W. Wong.  Being a "triple initial" person myself (SSS), I did a bit more research and found her to be very highly recommended, not only by patients but by other health professionals.  I set an appointment for October 30 and the fun began. We started with a very candid condition conversation (ccc) and I learned of the options, one of which was not covered by insurance (stem cell injection) and two which were: surgery or cortisone injections.  Not wanting to go through surgery, I opted for the cortisone injection, and it provided some relief for a few months.  It lasted until about February 2019, and I had another in early-April to carry me through a family wedding in May, and then surgery became my only option for pain relief when it wore of.   In July at the surgical consultation, I was instructed to lose 30 pounds prior to surgery so that infection risk was lessened, and surgery was set for October 8th.  While I got close to losing only 20 pounds, it still was a big help.  The procedure recommended was a total hip replacement by was of Direct Anterior Approach, as the surgical incision was minimal, the procedure was less stressful on the body, and the recovery time was much less. I was amazed!  That same day I was up and walking with a walker, home the next day still using the walker, and on the third day after surgery I was walking with just a cane for half the day and then completely on my own.  Within a week I was back to full strides and still very little pain, thanks to good medication management and with limited use of opiates to avoid addiction risk. I highly recommend Dr. Wendy Wong, her team, and the Direct Anterior Approach to anyone who is in need of total hip replacement surgery.

After a serious fall almost 3 years ago, I came to the reality that I would need hip surgery. Last September after joining one of the millions of Medicare baby boomers, my primary physician referred me to Muir Orthopedic Specialists in Walnut Creek, CA. I met with my initial surgeon and I had a date of February 2019. Due to unforeseen circumstances that befell my surgeon, I needed to select another surgeon within the Muir Orthopedic family. After some consideration, I chose Dr. Wendy Wong, M.D. I have to admit at the time I was very overweight, and Dr. Wong's main concerns were potential infections and complications. After many months, my weight met with Dr. Wong's approval for the procedure, and I had a surgery date of July 26, 2019. Today is August 5th and I just had my post-op check up. From beginning to end my experience with Dr. Wong exceeded my expectations. She deserves every one of these five stars!!! I could not have been more pleased. All of my appointments from pre surgery to post surgery were made for me. When I had my appointment with Dr Wong before my surgery she talked to me in a language I understood. Not all Dr terms. She told me everything she was going to do from staging out the surgery on the computer right away so she will have time to study it. I needed to recuperate in a rehab center after my surgery because I lived alone. She found me the best place for me to recuperate. They transferred me by ambulance to the facility. I healed faster than I expected so I only stayed their for 3 instead of 5 days. When I had my follow up appt with Dr Wong after surgery she told me everything was going great and I didn't have to see her for a month. She handled the in home physical therapy for me too. Now I know why when I told everybody who my dr was when at the hospital they all said "oh you've got the best". I felt like I had the best by far.

I have received excellent care from Dr. Wong for a fractured tibia and would not hesitate to recommend her. She listened to my concerns and took them into account when recommending the best treatment for me. She clearly explained the pros and cons of both surgical and non-surgical treatment. In addition to being a knowledgeable and capable physician and surgeon, she is a delightful person!

After full knee replacement, I was walking almost completely normal, w/o walker or cane, in just under 2 wks. My care at John Muir hospital, Walnut Creek was 1st rate; I had no issues, only praise!

Hip replacement from Dr. Wong and couldn't be more satisfied. Dr. Wong told me to expect, maybe, 3 month recovery, or longer, wisely tampering my best-case scenario with realistic expectations. However, I was limping unaided to the bathroom 2 hours after surgery (I was good-naturedly scolded for that), walking from BART to work 3 weeks later, and walking totally pain-free, with complete mobility, in about 70 days. I'd say that's a pretty successful hip replacement. Admittedly, I pushed the recovery process, but none of it would've been possible without an excellent surgical procedure. Honestly, I think my golf clubs have gained an additional 10 yards. And it's been 4 months with a new hip. And to address some of these negative reviews: For the most part, it sounds like "your feelings were hurt". Dr. Wong was straight with me, addressed all my questions and responded to my concerns. She was kind, humorous, good natured, and most importantly a doctor who addressed my physical condition. I advise you organize your thoughts and questions about your physical condition before your visit and make sure you get specific answers. The doctor is about your 'physical' condition. If you need to 'feel' good go to a therapist.

Dr. Wong is an excellent physician and communicates directly. I highly recommend Dr. Wong. I had the cortisone and gel shots over a period of time in both knees. Liquid nitrogen was applied to numb the skin. I couldn't feel the needle when the injections were applied. It helped a lot. The results are almost immediate. After two years, life long sports and arthritis had taken a final toll. Dr. Wong replaced my right knee with a titanium one. I was walking four hours after surgery. Medicare requires an over night stay in the hospital. I went home the next day. It has been three months since the surgery. I have full use of my knee and the strength keeps building. Dr. Wendy Wong is as good as it gets. She is an excellent surgeon and prepared me well for my Right Hip surgery. From the pre-op education and medications that were used the whole process went smoothly. When I woke up in post-op, I felt good! No pain, no nausea, and no wooziness. I was really pleasantly surprised I was comfortable all night and slept well. Physical therapy, the next day, was pretty easy and I was able to go home that same day. I really can't say enough about Dr. Wong. Her confidence, warmth and humor was exactly what I needed.

I first met Dr. Wong after 14 months of constant pain in hip, legs and back and inability to sleep pain-free on either my sides or back. My first appointment was in early December.  She reviewed the X-rays and said I was eligible for a hip replacement.  Because she was going on maternity leave in January she promptly offered to schedule surgery between Christmas and New Years.  Surgery went well, with the doctor responsive to adjusting drugs down based on my strong reaction to them. Post surgery recovery went well, with help from scheduled Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy and 2 weeks of at home family assistance.   In 2 weeks I was up and about with no assistance and in 2 months I was free from pain and could sleep on my back and both sides. I appreciate Dr. Wong's willingness to schedule and perform the surgery before going on maternity leave.  From being mostly bedridden I went to regaining my ability to resume my normal active life.  I would definitely return to or recommend John Muir Orthopedics and Dr. Wong, Orthopedic Surgeon.

My husband and I met with Dr Wong and found her to be a most empathetic, thoughtful, knowledgeable physician.  More so than most. She was conservative in her recommendations which were nuanced and specific. No rush to surgery or over medication. It is unfortunate that some have felt otherwise but we would not hesitate to recommend her to family or friends or anyone reading this.

Dr. Wong has been treating me for bilateral femur fractures. Yes, surgery to repair two shattered legs resulting from a freak fall. I am now four months post op and I'm happy to say I am starting to walk again! Dr. Wong is very personable and professional and thoroughly explained and discussed the treatment and my progress with both me and my spouse. I am happy I found Dr. Wong and highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr. Wong for knee pain for several months and in the very beginning she told me that I needed surgery ,(Knee Replacement) but that she could see that I was reluctant and it was my choice, she could give me shots every 4 months to help relieve the pain but that the shots would not be good over a long period and that I would eventually need the surgery regardless, it was my choice. I have waited longer than I should have and will now be setting the appointment for the surgery but it is my choice. Dr. Wong has always had a smile on her face and is always very sweet when she comes in the room and as she leaves, making me feel like I'm not being pushed into something that I may not need. I have read other reviews on this page and got the feeling that most of these people wanted to diagnose their problem and were upset that Dr. Wong did not agree and chose not to listen. She is not a Vet and people aren't animals, if they were they would be shot when they broke something, not fixed. Dr. Wong is there to advise you with the knowledge that she has acquired over many years of school & training so let her do her job and you stick to what you do best and that's not to undermine someone with her degrees. I will re- review after the first knee replacement and let you know then if I've changed my mind or am awaiting the 2nd knee???

I recently had a full hip replacement by Dr. Louay Toma. He had successfully operated on several of my friends and came highly recommended. My surgery was on July 12. I am now walking without a cane and slowly building strength. Dr. Toma was sensational throughout. He was very punctual for my pre-op appointments and post op. He is a very kind person, is upbeat, and certainly knows what he's doing. I am very happy with the results so far and owe a huge slice of gratitude to him for solving my problem. He is my hero!

I had my left hip completely shut. Barely could move with crutches my pain was something I wouldn't wish on anybody. When I called Muir Orthopedic the lady asked me if I don't mind having female surgeon, like if there was something wrong with it. Naturally I didn't mind all I cared about was surgery ASAP. I think I made the best choice DR. Wong was not only courteous and explained my options thoroughly but made me feel like a family. I could walk again in no time.
