Dr. Keane is an orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in upper extremity & hand surgery. She specializes in degenerative and traumatic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand including nerve compression, arthritis, neurovascular injuries, and tendon & fracture care. Her practice includes both surgical and non-surgical treatment plans customized to the individual patient, utilizing shared decision-making to help patients achieve their goals. She offers wide awake, local anesthesia procedures as well.
She aims for a meticulous and patient-centered approach in the clinic and the operating room. She works closely with the patient, support staff, and hand therapists to integrate care to restore hand function and improve quality of life.
Dr. Keane grew up locally and is an Archbishop Mitty alum. She recently returned to the bay area to be close to family and serve her community. She enjoys hiking, traveling, water polo/swimming, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
Dr. Keane received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Health Care Social Issues at UC San Diego. She attended medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine where she was selected for a teaching scholarship and was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. She then completed her Orthopedic Surgery residency at Samaritan Health in Oregon. Before joining Golden State Orthopedics & Spine, she completed a fellowship in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at the University at Buffalo.
