About Dr Chang
Dr. Chang is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, fellowship-trained in pain management. Dr. Chang’s extensive clinical experience makes him one of the premier physiatrists in the area.
With experience in minimally invasive techniques, he can treat many patients, including those with pain due to osteoporotic or pathologic compression fractures, recommending kyphoplasty, along with other therapies, as an effective way to eliminate or reduce pain.
Dr. Chang also performs spinal cord stimulation, a newer and innovative procedure that uses an electrical current to treat chronic pain, may also be an option for those patients who have tried and failed with other pain management treatments.
Pain and physical limitations can impact patients’ everyday lives in monumental ways. Dr. Chang became a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor so that he could help people overcome limitations caused by injury and illness. He focused his training on reducing pain and minimally invasive surgeries that would help patients regain function.
In his personal life, Dr. Chang enjoys finding hidden-gem “dive” restaurants. His vacations are often spent looking for new and exciting places to eat.

Fast action on diagnosing
Dr. Chan is the best. I tried everything when my back started to hurt last year. I could not do physical therapy because it hurt too bad. Chiropractic did not help. Finally, I got in to see Dr. Chan & he thought I would benefit from an epidural injection. When I finally got the injection, I felt like he had performed a miracle. My life improved my practically overnight. After months of not being able to do very much at all, I could where I wanted without worrying that I would not be able to walk back. I still have to curtail some of my activities but I am so grateful. Now that I know how awful it is to have this sort of back pain, it horrifies me that people sometimes have to wait for years to get authorization for a procedure that will relieve them of pain. Thank you, Dr. Chan
Dr. Chang is a great doctor. Listens to you and cares a lot about your overall physical well-being. I've been seeing him for three years now. Can't picture going to anyone else. Office staff is on the ball. The only complaint I have is how long it takes to get an appointment. They're so busy that appointments are a ways out.
I would gladly refer Dr M Chang to family and friends. It's to bad he is not a primary doctor.
Dr. Chang had a group of colleagues to help with gathering information on my case. He seems extremely knowledgeable about low back pain and its ramifications. He is a good listener and gave me options how to manage my symptoms When I asked for more diagnostic evaluation, he was very responsive. I plan to see him again in follow up to help resolve my symptoms.
Dtor Chang is my spinal and knee doctor for about 3 years now . I am happy with his care !! I am recommended him .
I had a fine experience with Dr. Chang.
