Partnering With Local High Schools & Sports Teams
Through Muir’s Organized Sports Partnership Program, our specialty-trained sports MDs provide athletic training services to several local high schools. The program also offers MD and athletic trainer sideline coverage to local sports teams and at sporting events throughout the community to provide professional care on-site.
In an effort to educate the local athletic population on sports health and safety, our sports program physicians have also participated in “Sports Minute” commercials on the local sports channel, and have created a YouTube channel answering high school sports questions from students.
Our sports MDs also guest lecture in local high school sports medicine classes.
In addition, they have put on and spoken at different symposia on sports medicine topics, providing educational opportunities for other physicians, therapists, trainers, and coaches.
