ABOUT
Diana McCafferty
Diana McCafferty, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant who works alongside Dr. Hasan, specializing in orthopedic and neurological spine surgery.
She grew up between Mexico and the Bay Area and graduated from California State University East Bay. Obtained a bachelor’s degree in Health Science; preclinical option, minor in biology, and a post-baccalaureate in biochemistry. During her undergraduate career, Diana was the founder of Chicanos in Health Education. She was involved in medical missions in Honduras and Nicaragua offering medical care to underserved communities.
Prior to beginning her PA education, she worked at Carbon Health and as an Emergency Medical Scribe at Alta Bates Sutter in Berkeley. During her training, she completed an orthopedic preceptorship with Dr. David Goltz, who has been the chief of surgery for the Olympics since 2011.
She is interested in continuing medical missions abroad, hiking with her three dogs, swimming with whale sharks, traveling, and all things fashion.
