ABOUT
Kylie Denton
Kylie is a family nurse practitioner working in the orthopedic express urgent care. She has extensive experience working as a registered nurse in several different intensive care units, including a county level II trauma center and most recently in a local community hospital. Kylie completed her master’s degree at Samuel Merritt University with the majority of her nurse practitioner training in urgent care, followed by primary care, pediatrics and obstetrics. “After many years of caring for people in their most critically ill states, I felt driven to focus on preventative health and how to maintain a sustainable healthy life.”
Kylie has enjoyed participating in sports all her life, including surfing, skate boarding, snowboarding, running marathons, and tennis. Outside of work you can find her in the ocean or on a bike ride. “Being involved in athletics meant learning injury prevention techniques and how to optimize physical health in order to perform at one’s highest capacity.”
“There’s definitely a mind/body connection. It is equally important to take care of one’s mental well-being as it is their physical health. I care about people as a whole, the urgent trauma is only part of the equation. It brings me great joy to help people find that mental and physical balance to function at their best.”
