Last year Dr. Sean Griffiths performed a total left knee replacement surgery. His team worked professionally and with lots of care in preparation for the surgery. I've so enjoyed having a new knee, without my previous bone on bone, arthritic pain, that I'm having my right knee replaced in 2 weeks. I love this doctor

Yes, I just wanted to say that, My experience with Doctor Griffiths has been a 5 star experience from the beginning to the end. His Team took great care of me . When I met Doctor Griffths I was in a wheelchair Couldn't stand or walk. I got my right hip replaced now I'm walking with my Walker making great strides in physical therapy. I get my second operation May 1st and I am so excited because my 1st surgery went FANTASTIC. I recommend Doctor Griffiths to anybody who's in need of any type of Procedures. The best thing about Doctor Griffiths is his team because they have A WE CAN do IT attitude and NOW I am a part of TEAM GRIFFITHS! THANK YOU!
Dr. Grifffiths did a hip replacement on my 90 year old mother. The surgery was a great success with minimal downtime for her recovery. Dr. Griffiths does an excellent job explaining why the surgery is needed, how it will be done and key steps in recovery. An excellent surgeon with an exceptionally caring attitude. We cannot recommend him highly enough.
Dr Griffith is very personable and answers my medical questions very clearly. He makes it easy to understand exactly the medical procedure which will be performed on my knee and addresses my concerns.
Dr. Sean Griffiths and his team are great. I had total knee replacement about 9 weeks ago. He was referred to me by a friend who had just had total knee replacement with him and very happy with the results. Dr. Griffiths is friendly, professional, knowledgable, young, sincere and took time to meet with me and listen to and answer my questions and concerns. I did not feel rushed and he seemed genuine in the consulting time he spent with me. I am so far, very happy with the procedure which was done with the latest technology (robotic arthroplasty). He schedules several post surgery visits to check my progress. His entire support team has been wonderful. I am very happy with my results with Dr. Sean Griffiths.
Dr. Griffiths and his care team are wonderful, even with a very busy schedule if the need is essential they will arrange for you to be seen. My care to date has been five star, I am awaiting a knee surgery and insurance is being picky, yet Dr. Griffiths and his team are aggressive in getting approval and for us to move forward. I highly recommend Dr. Griffiths and the team.
He is so sensitive to my needs and gives the best advice as to how to move forward. He is a keeper and his staff is attentive, especially Jessica.

My 70 year old mother needed a knee replacement that she had been avoiding for so long....she went to her original doctor in Berkeley who referred her to Dr Sean Griffiths! Dr. Griffiths is an outstanding doctor-- he was so personable and well-spoken, knowledgeable, listens well, explains well. He took his time thoroughly explained every bit of the procedure of the knee revision after the X-ray reviewed that the knee replacement I did was just placed without attachment. I never knew I had no knee for two years until I met Dr. Sean Griffiths. I had total knee replacement 2021 at Kaiser, I never walk well, I thought it was a healing process until I had a fall after four months I went back to work. Which took me back to ER and I was told everything was fine. I became shadow of my self. Started falling like a toy, until the last fall that happened February 26th 2023 that took me to Golden Orthopedic hospital for ankle fracture, After four months of treatment of the ankle Dr Sean took over my knee revision and did a marvelous job that now I walk like human being no leaping, no falling again. I will forever remain grateful to God Almighty and to Dr Sean Griffiths for a perfect surgery he carried on me. I have already started giving out recommendations to people. Thanks and remain blessed.
Dr. Griffiths is the consummate professional. He was very thorough in explaining my hip x-ray which showed that I needed surgery. He connected me with his assistant. Dr. Sean Griffiths, is a caring, understanding Person he listens to you then takes the right approach to help you to get over your problem what ever that be, he helped me with my Hip, now working my knees, I would give him six stars but you can only do five.
Dr. Griffiths did a great job replacing my hip with the latest surgical technique. I am sure I recovered very quickly because the procedure was done with minimal damage to surroundings muscles and tissue. I highly recommend him and his support staff. The rehabilitation post op was excellent as well. I was walking around without a cane within one month, with more mobility than before surgery. At 2 months I have been working my construction job for a month already am biking, hiking and in another month should be playing soccer again. My only regret is not having the surgery a year earlier!!! By the way I am 60 years young.

I saw Dr Griffiths, for the first time, on short notice for an arthritic knee flare up and was grateful to get in so quickly, which explains the long wait - other MD's at the orthopedic clinic were out and he was slammed. I'm sure they double booked me to squeeze me in. This being the case, Dr Griffiths and his staff did a wonderful job ! He's humble, caring, generous with his time, and gave me the cortisone shot I requested. Five days after the shot, I was quite distressed that I had not responded as well as I'd hoped so I urgently called the main number and Ann sent a message to his staff, who were at the Oakland office. Within 2 hours I got a call from Jessica, (Dr Griffiths' assistant) who immediately sent an order for gel injections for insurance approval. This is the kind of care I hoped for and so far I am grateful for the results !

Dr. Griffits is a "Top Notch" surgeon. He was very patient in answering all of my questions even the night before my surgery. At that time he was in the office & I talked with his PA & told him that I wanted to speak to him as I was really scared. Time was made in between his seeing a patient who needed an injection & talking to me. In those few minutes he took the time to talk to me and answered big question of "What are you going to do tomorrow?" I again felt assured that I had made the right decision by choosing him to do a "Total Knee Surgery" with him. I am now entering my ninth week & am walking without the drudgery of dragging my affected right "Bone on Bone Pain". Rehab has not been easy especially for the first 3 weeks. But it's been better than I expected it would be.
People suffering from failing/ill knees should know about the professionalism and caring demeanor of Doctor Griffiths. I was referred to Dr. Griffiths when my original Orthopedist realized that I would need full knees replacement, ftom the first contact everything went smooth and timely to culminate with two very successful surgeries one on each knee with a recovery time of 4 weeks, on the fifth week after surgery I was walking on my own surprasing everyone including myself. It was a great experience every post op appointment making sure ever was sloidly in place, All I can say at this time is Thank you Dr Griffiths and thank God for professionals like you ! I've discovered that Doctor Sean Griffith, doctor of Orthopedic medicine, is one of the bay area's best kept secrets. I am so grateful to have met him during my recent misfortune of a broken fibula and fractured ankle. He comes highly recommended by me because of his knowledge of the science and his methodological approach to administering what he knows to his patients. Each office visit left me feeling unrushed and more informed about my condition. During my visit concerns that were important to me were considered and solutions were explained in a very caring manner that I could understand. My wait wasn't too long once my appointment was confirmed. This doctor was my new doctor as my previous had retired, I was apprehensive not knowing what this new doctor demeanor was going to be. He's young and I was surprised, I felt comfortable with him right away. He spoke well didnt beat around the bush, tackled my situation forthright and had me out of there. I felt better overnight. I'd totally recommend Sean Griffiths.
On April 5th Dr. Griffith did a full knee replacement on my left leg—which was necessary since I had fallen and seriously damaged my knee (which already had a prosthetic in place due to previous injuries). Dr. Griffith gave me a clear idea of the best options available for this type of surgery (easy to understand) then performed the surgery ASAP. Post op he gave me a brief but complete review of the surgery results. I always felt I was “in the loop” regarding the process. He called my wife after the surgery and gave her a detailed update as well. We thank him for the professional and warm friendly manner in which he worked with us . Al and Linda Lang
My experience was great. Dr Griffin was polite and caring. He made sure that he understood what my injury was and why I need it to be completely healed. He promised me that I would be ready for my first year of college football. He made sure that my follow up appointment was booked right away and that I could start my PT not only right away but he made sure that I am getting the right treatment.
I was able to see Dr. Griffiths the same day I called for the appointment. I was so pleased because I'd been dealing with a painful knee issue and knew I needed to get some help as soon as possible. Dr. Griffiths took the time to listen to my issue and then proceeded to schedule me for an MRI and follow up appointment. I was able to get the MRI and see him within the following week. It was so refreshing to find a doctor who really listened, didn't rush, is personable and truly caring. I underwent PT and began to improve but then had a set back. I then scheduled another appointment with Dr. Griffiths in which he again listened carefully and determined I would benefit from more PT. The more I exercised my knee and followed a workout routine, the more I improved. He encouraged me to keep at it and didn't push for any further treatment. I am so grateful to have found such a competent and compassionate doctor and highly recommend him without any hesitation.

Dr Griffin is very professional. I saw him once at Golden State Orthopedic, in Walnut Creek he was efficient and as honest to tell me how the surgery scheduling would affect me if I wanted the soonest schedule. I understood what and how he explained it. I appreciated his integrity and honesty.
I came to visit the doctor for some pain on the side near my hip. The staff, a Golden State, is quick, Very efficient and pleasant. The doctor saw me right away. He gave me plenty of time to explain my situation examined me and then they took x-rays. After the review of the x-rays he determined that my situation was not serious and he explained succinctly what was going on. Was happy with the results and he gave me exercises to work on. I highly recommend Golden State. I have been going to their different doctors for years and results has always been excellent. Susan
